JACUMA HOT SPRINGS, Calif. (AP) — A van carrying 5 Navy personnel veered off a Southern California freeway close to the Mexican border and crashed Friday, killing one individual and injuring 4 others, three of them critically, authorities mentioned.
The van, which was probably a navy car, was heading towards San Diego shortly earlier than 10 a.m. when it veered off Interstate 8, went down a dust embankment and hit a boulder close to unincorporated Jacumba Hot Springs in southeastern San Diego County, California Highway Patrol Officer Travis Garrow mentioned.
The van was carrying a lady and 4 males who have been believed to be Navy personnel, Garrow instructed the San Diego Union-Tribune.
A person sitting within the center rear of the Chevrolet Express was killed.
Three of the injured had essential accidents and have been flown to San Diego hospitals whereas a fourth individual had reasonable accidents and was taken to a hospital by ambulance, authorities mentioned.
