A Chicago police officer was shot on Sunday afternoon and is presently being handled at a neighborhood hospital.
Chicago Police Department spokesperson Tom Ahern informed FOX 32 that the officer was shot at round 2 p.m. on town’s South Side on the intersection of West 69th Street and South Wood Street.
The officer’s situation is unknown, based on a tweet from Ahern.

The officer is being handled on the University of Chicago hospital.
The officer capturing comes simply days after one other Chicago police officer was shot whereas making an attempt to make a site visitors cease, FOX 32 reported. It additionally occurred simply days after a Chicago man shot a U.S. Marshal and a police canine.
