BEIJING (Reuters) – A passenger practice accident in southwestern China on Saturday killed the motive force and injured eight individuals, state broadcaster CCTV reported.
As the Guangzhou-bound practice was about to enter a tunnel in Guizhou province, it ploughed into particles deposited on the tracks by a mudslide, derailing two carriages and killing the motive force, CCTV reported.
Of the eight injured, seven had been passengers and one was a member of the practice workers. All different 136 passengers had been protected.
The derailed practice is a D-class practice service that strikes at a slower pace than the nation’s quickest G-class high-speed trains.
The accident on Saturday morning occurred throughout a long-weekend which generally sees heavier passenger flows as individuals make the most of the general public vacation to journey inter-city.
