Let’s put ourselves in the floating footwear of Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Korsakov, present a resident of the International Space Station. You’re taking footage of the Russian Progress MS-18 spacecraft, which has simply undocked from the station. You see two pairs of eyes staring again at you. What do you do? You share it on social media.
On Wednesday, Korsakov tweeted a pair of photographs of the cargo craft, which was heading off to fritter away in Earth’s ambiance. “Progress MS-18 efficiently undocked and departed. But who’re these stowaways watching us?” Korsakov wrote.
One of the photographs is a large view of the Progress craft. The different is a close-up displaying two dome-shaped protuberances that look like gazing again at the ISS with vibrant, beady eyes. Of course, they are not really eyes. Those are just a few parts that occur to be catching the gentle in a method that makes the protuberances seem like mini Star Wars droids hooked up to the exterior of the spacecraft.

Twitters customers chimed in to recommend the shapes seemed like R2-D2 from Star Wars or ill-tempered Daleks from Doctor Who. I believe they resemble the Sontarans from Doctor Who.
Korsakov is one of seven crew members on the station. He’s been aboard the ISS since mid-March, which is outwardly sufficient time to begin imagining whimsical issues out in area. Korsakov’s flight of fancy provides us landlubbers an entertaining peek into the cosmonaut’s sense of humor.
